Leadership Piqua

THE PURPOSE

Piqua has enjoyed steady, quality growth over the years as a direct result of the quality leadership its citizens provide. Leadership Piqua aspires to increase the quality and quantity of men and women capable of assuming leadership roles in the community. They will learn leadership and interpersonal skills to be informed civic-oriented leaders who are interested in helping direct the future of Piqua.

THE PROGRAM

The program consists of thirteen sessions that will be held one day per week beginning in February. The sessions will be held at the Chamber or at a location that best relates to the topic. Participants are introduced to issues by means of panels, lectures, on-site visits, group discussions and simulations. In each case, the program is designed to address specific areas rather than vague concepts.

PARTICIPANTS

Participants must have motivation, interest and commitment to fulfill the content of the leadership program.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

Applications for Leadership Piqua must be received by the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce by January 15. Participants will receive a schedule of sessions after their application has been submitted. 

TUITION

Tuition for Leadership Piqua is $400. The fee covers the cost of resource materials, supplementary data and topic presenters. The fee also includes a graduation dinner for the participants and program lunches.

ADMINISTRATION

Leadership Piqua is a program sponsored by the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce.
