The Veteran's Memorial Committee was organized to promote and establish a memorial area to honor our citizens who have given their lives and service to the preservation of freedom throughout the world.
The memorial is a total community appeal since every Piqua citizen has a family member or friend that has served in the United States Armed Forces.
The focal point is an eight foot, black granite monument listing over 100 Piqua citizens who gave their lives in time of war from World War I through present time. In addition, the monument includes a inscription, the six branches of service and a listing of all U.S. conflicts.
3,900 dedication bricks enhance a plaza area surrounding the monument. The bricks are available for purchase to honor living or deceased veterans. You may purchase the bricks through the Piqua Chamber of Commerce by calling 937-773-2765.
