Access Piqua Television Association

If you build it, they will watch.  Since Access Piqua Television Association went on cable channel TV5 in January of 1999, programs and viewer ship have increased.

TV5 is Piqua's channel featuring monthly programs supplied by Mainstreet Piqua, Johnston Farm, City Schools, Piqua Heritage Festival Inc., City of Piqua, Miami County Commissioners, Rehab Center and Jamieson Yannucci Funeral Home.

In addition to the four city produced programs, the City Commissioners air their meetings live and are rebroadcast Tuesday through Thursday.  The Mayor reports to the citizens semi-monthly.  APTA produces Eye on History, Spotlighting Business, What's Happening In Piqua and Church Net.  Six churches submit their weekly services to be aired on Sundays and Promise Keepers produce a program that airs the 4th Sunday of each month.  Edison Community College produces On Campus at Edison and Chalk Talk (during basketball season).  They tape home basketball games that are replayed on TV5.

Lloyd and Virgina Smith produce a series titled "Out & About".  They have captured the four seasons in Piqua and Miami County and holiday decorations.  Lloyd took us for a ride on a combine with a local farmer harvesting his beans and corn.  And were you one of the lucky ones to get Virginia's apple dumpling recipe?

Thank you to all that help and support Piqua TV 5!
